As an advocate for all things Latvian, I was excited last week to see the launch of Cobook, an add-on for the Mac that completely transforms the way people interact with their address book. The most recent launch from Latvia’s growing startup community, the app promises a smart address book and delivers in spades:
- Easily discover and connect social media networks (currently Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
- Establish and track relationships between contacts
- Make phone calls directly from the contact record (with a variety of VoIP providers including Google Voice, Messages, Skype, and more)
- All data synchronised with your system address book and, soon, contact providers such as Google Mail.
And the feature list keeps going, all easily accessible with a few strokes of your keyboard. And did I mention it’s free?
You can download the app today from the App Store.
Do it.
